Due to the extended period of hot, dry weather and high demand, we have put a Temporary Usage Ban, better known as a hosepipe ban, in place for XXXXX from YYYYY.

It’s been one of the driest and hottest summers on record and we’re sorry to have to take this step.  We’ve been treating and pumping an extra 300 million litres of water a day to meet significantly higher demand but after xxx days of doing this, we are now in a position where we sadly need to trigger a hosepipe ban. This will protect water supplies for essential uses and safeguard the environment avoiding the need for us to take too much water from our local rivers which can cause lasting harm to wildlife and local habitats.
