One week left to apply for Hafren Dyfrdwy Community Fund
Tuesday 29th March 2022
Hafren Dyfrdwy is reminding local charities and non-profit organisations there’s only one week left to get extra support through the second wave of its Community Fund.
The water company, covering mid Wales including Powys and Wrexham, launched its Community Fund last year, to support new projects within the Hafren Dyfrdwy region to boost community wellbeing.
The second wave of funding opened on Monday 7th March and now groups have just a week left to apply, with applications closing next Monday, 4th April.
Interested parties can apply for a grant between £2,000 and £10,000 for new projects that aim to improve community wellbeing across three core themes:
• People: Projects that help people to lead a healthier life and gain new skills;
• Place: Ideas that help create better places to live in and use; and
• Environment: Schemes that will help look after the natural environment, give people greater access to that environment or help look after water.
Jade Gough, Hafren Dyfrdwy Fund Officer said: “We’re proud to have supported some fantastic local projects in our first funding round last year and we’re really excited to offer a second opportunity to apply. Applications are only open for another week, so we’d encourage any groups with great new project ideas for their local community to get their applications in as soon as possible.”
